Joint response submitted to DONG Energy on Hornsea 3 project

by Steff on 20 September, 2017

And so it is shipped! I’ve just pressed “send” on a big joint submission to DONG Energy from 5 Parish Councils, Norman Lamb, Councillor Perry-Warnes and myself – as well as 103 local residents who took part in surveys – about the Hornsea 3 wind project.
This has been a fantastic collaborative project to work on: the chairs and vice chairs of Edgefield, Bodham and Corpusty & Saxthorpe in particular have helped shape the document, along with more than a dozen people who have helped make suggestions using google docs. Eight local people came out in the villages to do surveying and another fine fellow combined and analysed all the statistics we got back.

This is what we’ve sent today:

Dear Sirs/Mesdames,

Please find, attached, a letter in response to the consultation on the Hornsea Project Three consultation, from:

John Seymour, Chair, Edgefield Parish Council, formally on behalf of Edgefield Parish Council
Graham Sinclair, Vice Chair, Corpusty & Saxthorpe Parish Council, formally on behalf of Corpusty & Saxthorpe Parish Council
Pat Cubitt, Chair, Bodham Parish Council, formally on behalf of Bodham Parish Council
Norman Lamb, MP for North Norfolk, Chair of Parliamentary Science and Technology Select Committee
Georgie Perry-Warnes, Independent District Councillor for Corpusty & Saxthorpe Ward
Plumstead Parish Council
Hempstead Parish Council
and myself

This response incorporates the results of a survey completed by over 100 people in the affected parishes and I trust you will consider its contents carefully before making your application to the Secretary of State.

Kind regards,

Steff.
